Tenso manufactures DC-rated fuse holders for solar, battery and 48 V telecom circuits — the circuits where an AC-only holder is a hazard. A DC arc has no natural current zero to help it extinguish, so a holder rated only for AC may not safely interrupt a DC fault. The range covers DIN-rail, in-line and panel holders for 10×38 mm gPV and blade fuses, up to 1000 V DC. For PV string protection see solar PV fuses and combiner-ready PV holders. Ratings are indicative; confirm against the datasheet.

FAQ

DC Fuse Holders — questions buyers ask

Can I use an AC fuse holder on a DC circuit?

Not as a rule. A DC arc has no natural current zero to help it extinguish, so an AC-only part may not safely interrupt a DC fault. Specify a DC-rated holder for the system voltage.

What DC voltage do I need?

Match the holder's DC rating to the circuit — 48 V for telecom, up to 1000 V DC for solar strings and battery systems. Don't use a holder rated below the system voltage.

Do these suit solar combiner boxes?

Yes — DIN-rail and panel DC holders for 10×38 mm gPV fuses are combiner-ready. See our PV fuse holders for combiner-specific options.
